Suisei's Lore
Far beyond the known spirals of the Milky Way, in a star-filled expanse, there drifted a crystalline world called Astrahale. It was not a planet of soil and sea but a colossal comet-city, a shining arc of ice, nebula dust, and ancient magic. Within its frozen caverns lived a rare and radiant species: the Comet Dragons. These dragons were born of starlight and comet cores. Their scales shimmered with the colors of auroras, and their bodies rode cosmic winds like celestial serpents. Among them was Suisei. She was born beneath the flare of a dying star, her scales glinting in shades of blue-black and silver, her eyes like fragments of distant galaxies. She was young by dragon standards, curious and peaceful. She often carved trails through nearby stardust clouds like an artist with a brush. But the peace of Astrahale did not last.As Astrahale was drifting by a new sun began to flicker. Something unusual was happening and no one could have predicted what came next. The first tremors came not as sound but as ripples in magic and momentum. In an instant the sun went supernova and began to collapse into a black hole. Astrahale tried to change its path, but the pull was too strong. Stars near it vanished into spirals of shadow and light. The Comet Dragons rallied, weaving cosmic shields and waves of frozen stardust to slow the pull. Yet even their majesty could not fight the void forever. As Astrahale broke apart, the sky became a river of light drawn into darkness. One by one, the dragons disappeared, their roars fading into silence.Suisei’s parents, elder dragons with wings like mirrored constellations, used the last of their strength to throw her free. They launched her away from the devouring maw. She remembered only the echo of her mother’s voice in her mind and the brief, blinding flash of her father’s magic protecting her from the black hole’s pull. When the tremor of black hole finally faded from her senses, she was alone.Astrahale was gone. Every dragon, every memory carved into its icy halls, was swallowed by nothingness. Suisei’s heart, once filled with the glowing hum of a shared song, became achingly quiet. Now she roams the great dark between the stars, leaving trails of shimmering dust behind her. She follows the faint whispers of magic across nebulas and frozen moons, searching for a place to belong or a world she might help shape anew. Some mortals mistake her for a comet or a falling star. They make wishes when they see her luminous tail sweep across their twilight sky. They do not know the sorrow in that light, nor the hope she still carries like a flicker in her chest.Suisei is the last of Astrahale, the comet dragon who survived the void. Her journey is long, but she carries a promise born in tragedy: that somewhere in the vast tapestry of space, there is a new home waiting or one she will create herself from stardust and memory.
